This service falls under two categories Respite and Community Aide. This can involve different daily or weekly activities including bowling, swimming, movies, activities through city programs etc.
Clients can be buddied up for daily or weekly outings at the family’s request.
We provide an aide for community programs and outings. These services are offered 7 days a week. Community aide can also be used to learn life skills.
A Developmental and Behavioral Aide can be provided as long as there is an IPP in place. The aide works under and follows instruction from the multi-disciplinary teams to achieve the goals on the IPP.
Work related care can be provided in the family or staff’s home. We provide before and after school care including full time care for all holidays. There is an extra charge for sibling care.
Awake night shifts are for clients that need to be monitored during the night so that the parents can sleep.
Supports may include sign language interpreters, note takers, Aide in classroom.
Overnights can be provided in either the family or staff home. We ask that the overnight is booked at least 1 week in advance. If a family goes over the 24-hour period they will be charged hourly.
There is an additional charge for sibling care.
Personal care can include bathing, showering, diaper change, toileting, dressing, brushing teeth, feeding, etc.
Supports include a job coach, helping to stay on task, advocating.
Respite care is provided in the family home, community outing or the care providers home. This service is provided 24 hours a day 7 days a week. All routines are followed under the parent’s/guardian instruction. There is an additional charge for sibling care.
This can include oxygen, G-tube feed, NG tube feed, suctioning, Bi-pap, chronic or terminal illness.
All services are direct billed to FSCD providing the family has an active, approved and current contract. If the family does not have a contract they are billed directly.
When the client is 18 years of age or older services are direct billed to the family.
Families are responsible for any activity costs for their family member and home support worker when on outings.
PLEASE NOTE: there are a lot of activities where the home support worker is free.
Just 4 U family Services offers several services when it comes helping around the house for seniors.
Light Housekeeping duties include:
Help with laundry and ironing
Take out garbage
Make beds
Change linens
Dust furniture
Sweep and wash floors
Vacuum rug
Help with dishes
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen
We are happy to help with any home making skills your loved one requires.
Help to plan and cook meals
Cook meals for freezer
Grocery shopping
Help with errands
A diagnosis of Alzheimer or Dementia can be overwhelming for the whole family.
We understand how important and comforting it is to family members for their loved one to be able to stay in the family home being cared for in familiar surroundings.
Seniors social life is important and we are very happy to escort or visit with our clients including:
Go on planned outings
Accompany to movies, concerts,events shopping
Accompany to doctor’s appointments
Play cards, games
Accompany to an exercise class
Go for walks
We are happy to help with our clients pets.

We believe respite is an important service because caring for a loved one can be long term needing lots of time, commitment and energy. Respite helps care providers with their own health, helps to reduce stress levels, and have some much needed time for themselves. This time is for you to be able to relax and recharge your well being.
Our care providers will care for your loved one as if they were their own family with respect, compassion, and dignity. Our respite services are provided in the comfort of your home but may also be provided in senior care facilities and hospitals.
